Temat: Szukam zadań Present Perfect or Past Simple
Tak jak w temacie. Szukam jak najwięcej zadań wyboru odpowiedniego czasu (oczywiście z odpowiedziami). Mile widziane też adresy do testów Present Perfect or Past Simple or Past Continious or Present Simple or Past Continious (lub chociaż część ich tzn. np. Present Perfect or Past Simple or Past Continious). Z gór dziękuję za wszytskie linki.

Coś słyszałem że gimnazjaliści mają pisać test również z angielskiego, i co będziecie pisać to w tym roku czy wycofali?
tak, będziemy. Ogólnie to ten test jest naprawdę wielkim pośmiewiskiem. Podobno zrezygnowali z pytań otwartych bo nie mają pieniędzy na szkolenie egzaminatorów Jak można robić egzamin z jakiegokolwiek języka bez pytań otwartych?! Poza tym, na próbnym teście niemal wszyscy, którzy są przynajmniej na czwórce z anglika mieli punkty ok 45-50. To tylko świadczy o poziomie jaki ten test prezentował. Parę osób narzekało, że na Anglika jest tylko 1,5 godziny, na inne przedmioty 2 więc pewnie nie zdążymy... Tymczasem na próbnym teście ostatni kończyli po 40 minutach.
Ale mimo wszystko obiło mi się o uszy, że egzamin próbny wypadł fatalnie i mają jeszcze trochę obniżyć poziom, żeby nie było blamażu gimnazjalistów. Jeśli rzeczywiście tak było, to wyniki dzieliły się chyba na tych ca mają prawie 50 i na tych co mają prawie 0, bo naprawdę jeśli ktoś zna parę słówek i opanował present i past simple , zdaje ten egzamin koncerowo.

Got a call from maanie. 3 bent valves on cylinder 1. so need 3 new valves and new head gasket. My present gasket only did F8ckin 4000kms!!!
He says it may be due to car running lean or faulty injector on that cylinder or faulty sensor. Also bear in mind last month was the highest mileage I recorded on a tank for my car (724km on a tank). His said I can take the car to some friend of his who will do diagnostic test and other tests on the car ( diagnostic test is something you can do on your own)
Wot I would like to know is if the sensor was faulty (my car was not showing any symptoms of a faulty O2 sensor) would a faulty sensor not result in the car using much more petrol, or can a faulty O2sensor also result in using much less petrol?
Maybe he meant faulty knock sensor? On my 16 v I blew a headgasket and somehow the knock sensor got damaged.. At that point my car couldn't rev past 3000

To może z Twojej...
U mnie od 4 klasy został wprowadzony podział na grupy, a i tak część z tej lepszej przewyższała poziomem resztę.
Teraz w gimnazjum, zamiast grup po prostu zrobili wszystkim klasom test, a ponieważ wypadł nieźle, zaczęliśmy pracę z wyższymi książkami.
I co z tego, skoro kilka osób nudzi się na lekcjach, a ponieważ mamy z dyrektorką, to i tak musimy uważać, oceny sześć jeszcze w gimnazjum nie mieliśmy, chociaż wszystkie testy piszemy na 100% i naprawdę wiemy, kiedy używać Present Perfect, Past Simple i Future Simple...A reszta nie rozróżnia tych czasów i nie umie drugiej formy czasowników, o trzeciej nie mówiąc...
Więc u nas część rocznika będzie miała maksimum punktów z testu, a część ledwo połowę. Tak to wygląda.

@tt nvocaine: your knock sensor proably melted when your head gasket blew due to the heat at the time. since knock sensors on toyota are usually placed near the head rather then the block on most other cars
att Shuaib: If you have an oscilloscope and know how to use it, connect it accordingly to where your knock sensor pickup PIN would be on your ECU. Tap the engine with a hammer, if working you will see a corresponding signal. Amplitude and waveform is irrelevant at this stage as all you are checking is that it is producing electrical feedback to the ECU.

No właśnie, jak w temacie, w swojej: "Testy gramatyczne z języka angielskiego dla szkół średnich i wyższych", kiedy opisuje on (autor) czas Present Perfect mówi, że służy on do opisywania wydarzeń występujących w przeszłości kilkukrotnie i podaje przykłady: Susan has been to Spain twice, albo My sister has seen Pocachontas hundreds of times
Z kolei przy opisie czasu Simple Past, też twierdzi, że czas służy do opisywania czynności z przeszłości, które wydarzyły się kilkukrotnie - w przeszłości i daje przykład: I fell off my bike hundreds of times.
To wielka niekonsekwencja ze strony autora tego podręcznika, że tak napisał. Bo co stoi na przeszkodzie by powiedzieć: My sister saw Pocachontas hundreds of times.
To jak jest summa summarum - w jakim czasie opisać czynności które wydarzyły się w przeszłości kilkukrotnie ? Who knows ?

bra i do not have this tools you are talking about bru, if i was taht clever i would have invented my own car that can take dilute petrol 95 unleaded and water, then i could pull water from the borehole we have at home LMHIMP

I liken your way of seeking information about EGW to one who wants to know about a woman. Instead of asking the womanâs parents, friends, brothers and sisters, he choose to ask the MOTHER IN LAW.
Mother in law will give him information all right, and we all know what kind of things mother in law will say.
You sure have gone to the wrong people in your endeavour to find out about EGW.
The first thing you should have done, is to go to EGW herself. To read her books, but you havenât, for you are only read it thru the eyes of other people (ex-SDA, etc). You are only reading EGW in bids and pieces, misquoting and misunderstand her most of the time.
The second thing you should have done is go to people who know EGW. I mean not only Ex-SDA, but active SDA. BUt you are only interested in what Ex-SDA has to say about EGW. The only person you will end up convincing that EGW is a false prophet is yourself, for the information you seek is one sided.
By the way, you must be the luckiest person here in PT, because a lot of people are willing helping you out. It is now up to you to help yourself.
To all,
Tapuâosi is just another tool for all Ex-SDA or all that is against the SDA people, all that he is doing is copy and paste from other peopleâs findings. To me, this is quite all right. Putting EGW to the test is a standard thing to all. If Tapuâosi is willing to present only one side of EGW, I am now prepared to present the other side of EGW, as alien and other fellow SDA do.
This is very new to Tapuâosi because âśhe is reading as he postâ, but they are old news to me and the majority of SDA here in PT.
It seems to me that Tapuâosi is a dedicated follower of all Ex-SDA (all that are against the SDA) people, well that is his choice.

1) Who do you see as your main rivals for the 2005 season?
Heikki Kovalainen: There are a lot of good teams with good drivers. It’s difficult to name anyone but it’s gonna be close that’s for sure.
2) Having raced the new car, what are your thoughts?
HK: It’s ok, they have managed to produce a nice car and it’s all working ok.
3) How have you been preparing for the season ahead?
HK: I’ve prepared myself quite normally, training hard to improve my physical fitness and just trying to improve the car in the tests.
4) Do you feel you have developed since a year ago, and if so how?
HK: I’m physically stronger. Otherwise, I can’t say if I’m better than last year, I haven’t done a lot of driving over the winter so we’ll have to wait and see!
5) What are your goals for 2005?
HK: To win the GP2 championship with Arden! (no mam nadzieję, ze mu się uda! )
6) What inspired you to become a racing driver?
HK: Speed and technical solutions in the cars...
7) How long did it take for you to pass your driving test?
HK: I passed on the first go. The only thing the instructor said was I was too aggressive under the brakes...

Kindly make time to read and response in our daily actions to this message.
One of the challenges in life is for us to treat the person separated from his/her past and present behaviours. Jesus was greater than any prophet, High Priest, and first angel in a soul who overcome any temptations and all evil thoughts. The people of Nazareth perceived that Jesus was merely a son of Joseph and Mary.
Jesusâ teaching and preaching were accepted and healed those who were listening and believed in Godâs truth. It was not the gentiles who tested Jesus works as Jesus that he is carrying out Godâs will on earth. Testing whose authority that empowers Jesus was the right thing to do. The evil thoughts in denying Jesus was the Messiah and the second man created by God were stretching the faith of Jews up to now.
Why we are seems to fail in believing in Godâs messages being delivered by a sinner?
There are numerous perspectives and reasoning, however, let us these five (5) ideas for initiations of exploring the possibilities.
1. Dominant factors for our faith are based on ones character and known background in life.
2. We have failed many times to ask God if this is/are His will declared by this messenger/s.
3. We have failed to test the messengers and accept his faith when the Spirit of Truth confirms our doubts.
4. We have failed to act upon our faith.
5. We should make appropriate sacrifice for Godâs patience and mercy for us.
Political campaign had influence our mind and acceptable known characters for people that we should trust. The ideal person is fixed until there is destruction matters become known to the public. If we bring in Mr. Clinton with the personal life incident, the economic stability and social stability of USA overshadow the political amplifying credibility of Mr. Clinton. Are we saying that adultery is fine? Certainly not a godly behaviour and adultery is a sin. Is God going to forgive Mr. Clinton for this adultery? If Mr. Clinton repent and is seeking God forgiveness, Mr. Clinton will be forgiven by God. In addition, Mr. Clinton should seek his wife forgiveness.
Presently, our generations yield the greatest offer from God through His love for Jesus Christ victorious on earth. God have offered the Spirits of truth to enter soul of sinners, who are repenting for committing sin; believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus by God. The Spirit of Truth resides with messengers in guiding their journey in this mortal life. We should understand mankind is allowed to obey or disobey God. Yet, if we are lying to the Spirit of Truth, we will surely loose our lives and mankind will not forgive us for our actions. Ultimately, those, who believe that Jesus is their salvation and adherence to Godâs will upon their last breath, will received eternal life.

Ecover respects the mission and values of the Vegan Society who acknowledge that Ecover has 27 years of history as a company dedicated to protecting the environment. The Vegan Society recognizes Ecover as a company of integrity. As such the Vegan Society and Ecover are working together to ensure both organisations principles are adhered to.
As a pioneering ecological company, Ecover’s responsibility is to continuously improve the environmental performance of its products. A major challenge in developing an ecological washing and cleaning product is minimizing the effects of its use on aquatic systems. Therefore, the toxicity of these products on aquatic life must be measured.
To establish the impact on the aquatic environment Ecover uses aquatic toxicity testing which uses water fleas (daphnia), as they are present throughout the world in any freshwater system. As far as Ecover is aware there are no alternative tests available that will more accurately measure the impact of cleaning products on the aquatic environment. Ecover far exceeds the EU definition on what constitutes animal testing as daphnia are invertebrates which do not have a central nervous system. The EU definition defines animal testing as the use of vertebrates, past a specified embryonic stage, (or larval stage in the case of fish and amphibians).
Ecover also uses a red blood cell test (Invittox RBC) on a non-systematic basis that uses blood from rabbit farming to test the effect of detergents on mucus membranes (to test skin compatability).This test is used only in those cases where alternative testing methods are unavailable. Given the shortage of human red blood cells Ecover believes the use of human blood would be unethical. However, as alternative testing methods are continuously investigated, Ecover is confident that the RBC test shall become obsolete over the next few years.
Ecover respects the values of the Vegan Society and its members. Yet, as part of the company’s core values, Ecover owes its customers transparency and will continue to hold on to its principles as it has done so for the past 27 years. Thus, our organizations have mutually decided to disagree on these points of principle and consequently, Ecover shall no longer carry the Vegan trademark.

A Brief Summary of Facts:
1. Aquatic Toxicity Testing: Ecover undertakes daphnia testing, as part of aquatic toxicity testing to establish impact on the aquatic environment. This is a recognised test that allows is to monitor our products against one of the key criteria for an ecological product, i.e. its impact on the aquatic environment.
2. Invittox (RBC) Test (Protocol 99): On a non-systematic basis, Ecover has adopted this test as part of its product testing of skin compatibility of detergents. This test is a variation of the red blood cell test (RBC) and allows us to measure the effect of detergents on mucus membranes. The techniques used to conduct this testing can be found on the web site of the European Centre for the Validation of Alternative Methods, under Protocol 99 (http://ecvam.jrc.it/index.htm). A mere 0.5 milliliters of rabbit blood is used as the source of red blood cells to conduct one complete test of a new product. In 2006 and 2007, Ecover performed 0 tests.
3. Ecover Annual Output. In 2006, Ecover’s annual output consisted of 19,625,296 units in liters (l.) and 2,587,935 units in kilograms (kg) giving a total of 22,213,231 units produced.

Tego typu przykładów można znaleźć bardzo wiele. Raz próbujemy tłumaczyć zwroty poprzez analogię do języka polskiego. Niestety, zazwyczaj wtedy okazuje się, że tak jest źle. Próbujemy więc powielać jakąś regułę. I znów rozczarowanie, bo okazuje się, że tak też jest niepoprawnie!
W tym ebooku nie znajdziesz rekordowej liczby zwrotów, ale 10 lekcji z tymi, które są powszechnie stosowane i niestety sprawiają kłopoty. Rozdziały ułożone są tematycznie, np. TIME – CZAS, gdzie znajdziesz najpowszechniejsze zwroty związane z wyrażaniem czasu, np.: rano, w nocy, o piątej, za dwa dni, 5 sierpnia, w zeszłym tygodniu. Po wprowadzeniu danej grupy zwrotów przygotowane zostały przez autorkę ćwiczenia aktywizujące ten materiał, czyli takie, które pozwalają użyć danego zwrotu w kontekście.

Temat: Tesco
Dzień doberek wszystkim forumowiczom a szczególnie zainteresowanym pracą w Tesco. Ja już po rozmowie. Myślałam, że mam daleko do Krakowa (ok.350km),ale na rozmowie były osoby z Gdyni, Olsztyna, które spędziły w pociągu po 11godzin(!!!)
A więc tak. Wypełnianie formularzy-wszystko przetłumaczone. Następnie rozmowy. Miałam bardzo sympatyczną kobitkę-więc strach lepiej zostawić w domu. Te pytania, które napisał już w tym forum szanowny GOŚĆ są skarbem i całkowicie podpisuję się pod jego wypowiedzią, bo nie spotkałam się z innym zapytakiem. A WIĘC BARDZO BARDZO CI DZIĘKUJĘ.
Oczywiście musicie uważać na to co mówicie. Np. mnie się zapytali(po polsku) ‘która z wykonywanych przeze mnie prac była najlepsza’ gdy odpowiedziałam, że ta ostatnia ‘to dlaczego z niej zrezygnowałam’. Tak w ogóle to te niektóre pytania są trochę dziwne i chwilami czułam się jak u psychologa...
Radzę jak najwięcej mówić, bo pytań po polsku było naprawdę mnóstwo. Pytano mnie też o to:
-dlaczego aplikuję właśnie do Tesco;
-jak długo chciałabym pracować w Tesco;
-co bym chciała robić za 5,6 lat;
-jak moja rodzina zareagowała, gdy się dowiedzieli, że chcę wyjechać;
-jak sobie wyobrażam życie w Anglii;
-dlaczego chcę pracować dla Tesco, a nie jako kelnerka(przez parę lat pracowałam w tym zawodzie);
-czy pracowałam kiedyś w nocy; zagranicą itd.
Zauważyłam, że jak się zaczynasz plątać to jeszcze bardziej zaczynają drążyć ten temat, więc lepiej przygotujcie sobie konkretne i wyczerpujące odpowiedzi.
Po angielsku musiałam odpowiedzieć na 3 pyt-wszystkie są w tych 35 napisanych przez Gościa.
Test to jedna kartka A4-gramatyka prościzna. Wystarczy znać podstawowe czasy: Present Simple, Present Continuous, Future Simple i Past Simple- tzw uzupełnianka. Czasowniki są w formie podstawowej napisane w nawiasach. Po tym ze 4 zdania, w których trzeba uzupełnić brakujące wyrazy. W części opisowej miałam napisać kilka zdań na temat mojej poprzedniej pracy. A na koniec trzeba było przetłumaczyć 3 zdania z j.angielskiego na j.polski.
No i na tym koniec strachu. W ogóle osoby, które były w ten dzień na rozmowach okazały się bardzo sympatyczne i życzliwe. Była nawet dziewczyna, która 6 lat pracowała w Tesco w kraju i doszła nawet do kierowniczego stanowiska... No to sobie pomyślałam ‘z czym ja tu się pcham’...
Cała rekrutacja trwała ok.1,5 godz. i to z tego względu, że nasza grupa liczyła 7 osób. Tego samego dnia ok. 20 osób miało spotkanie organizacyjne-wylatują 02.06...
Po 20 minutach zadzwoniła do mnie pani Native speaker. Była bardzo miła i zadawała pytania z tej samej grupy co na rozmowie. Najpierw musiałam powiedzieć coś o sobie, pytała czy kiedykolwiek pracowałam za granicą, no i jak powiedziałam, że pracowałam w Niemczech, to zapytała jakie są różnice między Polską a Niemcami... Walnęłam karpia(dobrze, że ona tego nie widziała ) i coś tam wydukałam. Zapytała jakie są moje marzenia, jakie mam najprzyjemniejsze doświadczenie z pracy a jakie najgorsze ble ble ble itd.
A więc dobra rada: wałkujcie te 35 pytań po polsku i po angielsku, przygotujcie się z podstawowych czasów, dużo optymizmu, wiary i pewności, a na pewno się uda.
Życzę wszystkim powodzenia. Jak macie wątpliwości i pytanka to chętnie odpowiem
Ps. Na odpowiedź trzeba czekać do 6 tygodni.... Do mnie zadzwonili dziś rano...

II. The Evidence: What of White's Prophecies? Did she predict the Second Coming of Christ? Yes she did!
l843 "I have seen that the l843 chart was directed by the hand of the Lord and that it should not be altered, that the figures were as he wanted them." Early Writings, p. 64, l882 ed.
l844 "We heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming." A Word To The Little Flock, p. l4, l847 ed.
l845 "It is well known that many were expecting the Lord to come at the 7th month, l845. That Christ would then come we firmly believed. A few days before the time past...Ellen was with the band at Carver, Mass., where she saw in vision, that we should be disappointed." A Word To The Little Flock, p.22, l847 ed.
l849 "Now time is almost finished and what we have been 6 years learning they will have to learn in months." Early Writings, p. 57.
l856 "I was shown the company present at the conference. Said the angel: 'Some food for worms, some subjects of the seven last plagues, some will be alive and remain upon the earth to be translated at the coming of Jesus." Testimonies For The Church, vol. I, pp. l3l-l32.
l862 "The system of slavery, which has ruined our nation, is left to live and stir up another rebellion." Early Writings, p. 256.
Since White's predictions of the return of Christ did not come true, we must conclude on the basis of Deut. 18:21-23 that she was a false prophet.
III. What About White's Visions?
The biblical and historical material which White claimed to receive by way of visions were actually stolen from dozens of books. (See: Walter Rea, The White Lie, M&R Pub., 1982, Box 2056, Turlock, Ca. 9538l). The health and nutrition visions were also stolen from medical books of that period. (See: Ronald Numbers, Prophetess of Health, Harper & Row, N.Y., 1976).
Conclusion The only conclusion possible is that Ellen G. White was not only a dishonest woman who plagiarized the works of others, but she was also a false prophet.

Mercedes-Benz Motorsport’s traditional end-of-season event will again be taking place around the Mercedes-Benz Museum, and the Mercedes-Benz Center in the immediate vicinity of the company’s headquarters at Stuttgart-Untertürkheim on Saturday, November 3, 2007, from 10.00 to 16.00 h.
All Mercedes.Benz racing drivers of the 2007 season will be present: Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and the test drivers of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 team, Pedro de la Rosa and Gary Paffett. All Mercedes-Benz DTM drivers including five times’ champion Bernd Schneider, two times’ Formula 1 world champion Mika Häkkinen, Bruno Spengler and the winner of the last two rounds of the 2007 season, Jamie Green, plus the Mercedes-youngsters from the Formula 3 Euro Series, will also be there at Stars & Cars.
The varied programme allows visitors to get close to the drivers and the technology: pit stop competitions featuring the Formula 1 and the DTM teams, acceleration tests with race and production cars, autographs and interview sessions, drivers’ parades, demonstration runs of contemporary and historic race cars and a presentation of Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 safety cars past and present.
During this day, the Mercedes-Benz Museum will be opened from 9.00 to 18.00 h and access is also free for the Stars & Cars visitors. Because as many people as possible are to get the opportunity to visit the museum as well, there will be no audio-guides available.
The best way to reach the Mercedes-Benz World on this day is by means of public transport, as the park garages close to the museum cannot be used. The railway station “Gottlieb Daimler Stadion” is only a five minutes’ walk away from the Mercedes-Benz World.
