Dlatego polityka Liberalow przemawia do niedouczonych.

US economist Milton Friedman says the euro is a “great mistake” that will cause turbulence in several European countries in the next few years.
Mr Friedman , whose monetarist theories inspired the economic policies of Margaret Thatcher in the 1980s, argues that the euro will highlight the contrasts between EU countries instead of supporting a unified political system.
In an interview with Italian daily Corriere della Sera, he cited the example of Ireland, which he said should be tightening its monetary policy, and Italy, which “probably needs a more flexible policy”.
If Germany should also decide to “adopt a policy of easy money” to boost its economy, tensions would be considerable, particularly in Germany, France and Spain, he added.
Friedman said he approves of Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi’s plans to cut the tax burden along with reducing public spending, but added that to some extent Italy’s hands are tied.
“The problem, for you, is that Italy today cannot do what Thatcher did almost as soon as she arrived in power, eliminating exchange controls and making sterling float.
“Italy now unfortunately cannot do the same thing because of the euro,” Friedman said.
Asked whether some countries should consider dropping the single currency, Friedman said this would not be possible since “the key was thrown away” after the euro was adopted.
On the US economy, he said he expects a recession to be lengthier but less deep than in previous cases, with growth likely to return next year.
He said the Fed’s policy to cut interest rates is correct as an instrument to boost growth but will be too inflationary in the long run.

If you define "being successful" as "annoying the hell out of everyone", then yes, I guess you did achieve your goal.

Fact of the matter is, at the rate the player base is declining, there won't be much left to play for in a few rounds. Hell, there's 317 planets at this very moment, hardly something to write home about.

In advance of the round, I understand there have been some HC level talks during which it was decided that there would be no underhand tactics and to fully tag up the alliance from the start of the round, or as soon as possible anyway. I assume your goal with these agreements was to allow this round to be a fun one, with battles lasting until at least, say, tick 1000 (the exact tick is irrelevant, of course, but you get the idea), and without too many things that would cause even more people to leave. Note that I was not present during these talks, I only heard of them through people who were, so correct me if I'm wrong.

While trying to make the opposition make stronger than it is, and yourself weaker, which is definitely something you've done (and I'm not judging you for it either) was probably not part of the agreement you made, it could be considered slightly counter-productive.

Imagine what would have happened if you'd succeeded. You convinced DeathHead that Minions was much stronger than they really were. Thunder and DH arrange a NAP, and start pounding them. Minions (as they appear to be your prime target with these tactics) would've started to crumble rather quickly. While older alliances would perhaps have been able to get their act together again after they'd been hit heavily (Allow me to refer to Ðragons r14), it's much harder for a new alliance to do so, especially with inexperienced HCs. People are simply not as dedicated to this game and the alliance as they were 10 rounds, or even 3 rounds ago. Add to this the fact that reduced dedication makes the chance of people ship jumping higher, with the consequential loss of morale, and you've got the recipe for the swift annihilation of an alliance.

So what then? You'd have successfully killed an alliance in the first 300-400 ticks. Would that, in the end, have helped the game in any way whatsoever? Of course not. And isn't that a bit strange, because wasn't the goal of the initial HC meeting (the one that started all this trouble) to help the game, not add another nail to its coffin?

We wanted to make the round balanced, IF we where to NAP DH(wich we havnt) it would only be in the best interest of the round.
Your post is useless in the discussion, as Zorlac only stated that we have not broken any agreements we made preround(Wich Minions clearly have), wich was the orignal reason to reply to FormZ perior post.

General News
Thursday, December 1

- Russia is ready to start negotiations with Poland aimed at resolving a trade row that has soured Moscow's relations with Warsaw and Brussels. Russia banned imports of most Polish meat and plant products last month citing irregularities in certificates and health standards. Some Polish politicians have interpreted the bans as politically motivated, and lack of progress in resolving the row has only heightened tensions.

Sunday, November 27

- Around 100 German and Polish hooligans staged a mass brawl in a wood on the German side of the border. A 100-strong German police team stopped and searched 45 Germans who had travelled in 15 cars and a busload of 53 Poles after receiving information about the planned fight near the village of Briesen, 60 kms east of Berlin. The brawl took place just over six months before the start of the 2006 World Cup hosted by Germany and for which Poland have qualified.

Politics

Friday, December 2

- Poland's ruling conservatives said that if their minority government loses the support of anti-reform parties, they could call early elections which surveys show would crush the fringe groups. Far-left Self-Defence and nationalistic-right League of Polish Families gave the conservative cabinet a majority in last month's confidence vote and are now eyeing a more formal coalition deal with the ruling Law and Justice party. Self-Defence leader Andrzej Lepper said he would demand a meeting with Law and Justice to either sign a coalition deal or that they would move to the opposition.

Thursday, December 1

- Prime Minister Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz blasted outgoing leftist President Aleksander Kwasniewski for launching procedures to pardon a convicted former party colleague. Kwasniewski formally asked the prosecutor general to start the pardon process for Zbigniew Sobotka, a former deputy interior minister convicted to 3-1/2 years in jail for his role in tipping off gangsters about a looming police crackdown.

Economic News

Friday, December 2

- Poland's Treasury Ministry, which oversees state-owned companies, designated 15 companies as strategic for the national interest and thus subject to government control of certain decisions. The list, which includes Warsaw blue-chips PKN Orlen, Lotos, PGNiG and KGHM , implements a law passed in June that guarantees the government veto power at strategic companies despite its shareholding – paving the way for it to cut its stake in some firms. Poland has said its "golden veto" rules comply with European Union standards and give blocking power to the state only for strictly defined decisions, such as liquidation or a move to another state, not over normal commercial operations.

- The Warsaw bourse's large cap WIG 20 index hit a lifetime high of 2,581.7, boosted by strong gains in bank and commodity stocks.

Wednesday, November 30

- Poland's central bank kept interest rates unchanged as expected, convincing markets that its easing cycle is over as the economy gains steam. The main rate is 4.5 percent.

Tuesday, November 29

- Poland's economy grew 3.7 percent year-on-year in the third quarter, faster than the 3.5 percent forecast.

- The new government approved a revised 2006 budget with a deficit of 30.55 billion zlotys ($9.27 billion), 2 billion below the previous government's target. The cabinet raised revenues for next year to 194.2 billion zlotys from the 191.3 billion set by the previous cabinet. Spending was set at 224.7 billion zlotys. Analysts have voiced concern that curbing the budget deficit by boosting expected inflows was risky if the new revenues failed to materialise. This year's deficit is officially expected to be about 31 billion zlotys.

Company News

Thursday, December 1

- Dominant Polish phone group TPSA's share in the subscriber market could fall to around 70 percent by the end of 2007 from 90 percent as the result of a liberalisation plan, according to the government.
